L 3-2 vs Shrewsbury Town (A) - BSM Trophy Group Stage - Tue 14th Nov, 7pm

I’ve got a great idea! Let’s give him the captain’s armband :man_facepalming:t2:

Stupid to play Stirk - hopefully it’s not a serious injury.

25 shots, 8 on target. Lose 3-2 - similar to Harrogate. Away against a league 1 side. Both sides had players out.

There’s just about enough there to keep me believing in Sadler.

Jamille Matt noticeable by his absence - how long does it take to recover from concussion?

Heard that DJ missed a few. No striker scores all the chances he gets and well done DJ for not sulking and getting out there and getting some valuable game time.

I actually enjoyed the game despite the loss.
Great to see DJ get on the scoresheet and he could have had three or four, poor penalty though.
Hutch, Maher. Thomas and Foulkes gave a decent account of themselves.
It’s a worry that we continue to concede so easily and it would make a nice change to see a clean sheet one of these days.
Hopefully Stirk hasn’t become another one for the treatment table.
My biggest criticism is Knowles because there was no need whatsoever to pick up a booking, absolutely stupid.

There are protocols for concussion which you’re not allowed to deviate from….not entirely sure what they are but you can find them on line….

In junior academy football it’s 14 days. No sure about open age.

Walk out music at Bescot from now on to reinforce the gaffer’s instructions.

Found this for rugby so I assume it’ll be similar…

So looking at 12 days minimum from last Thursday / Friday I think.

Difference was that most of the 8 chances were inside the box, unlike Saturday when most were from long distance.

Nothing to do with concussion, latest rumour has it he was caught administering itching powder to Sadler’s base layer and undercrackers after training yesterday. Despite several washes the effects of this cruel jibe were clearly still evident during the post match interview.
Tom Knowles’ ex girlfriend/stalker has also had her high powered air rifle confiscated.

classic

The only thing that i can take from tonight was the proof that Sadler has completly f@cked up the best striker we have under contract by not giving him enough first team minutes on the pitch. Well done Matt :clap::clap::clap::clap:

Mr Sadler, having just listened to your post-match interview, the next best thing you can do is just go and bugger off!!!

High powered air rifle…… He goes down from a shot with a pea shooter

It’s the first time I’ve seen Sadler show that he’s getting pissed off during that interview after the game last night when he was talking about us conceding goals.

Think he actually talks some sense tbf.

I think he has kept it together better than any of us would in his situation, must be under some considerable pressure, but last night you could see it was just starting to get a bit too much to keep under control, especially giving away silly free kicks, wonder who that was aimed at?:thinking:

3.32 he mentions DJ

He did in the first part of the interview, then quickly reverted back to best friend mode.
