Makes zero sense mate, it’s only rain and we invest in drainage.
I am not surprised. It has snowed continually this morning and after the heavy rains during the week when the Midlands took a battering I doubt the pitch is playable. My back lawn certainly isn’t!!!
We have covers
Watch Sawyers stand around statuesque, as the attackers walked the ball in the net, he looks drained of confidence.
I invested in one of these a few weeks ago, they are amazing, so if you are ever in brownhills west mate you are more than welcome

DC probably broke in and turned the sprinkler system on last night
Well I’m less than half a mile from the ground, there’s not even a millimetre of snow on the ground, its just starting to snow now but it’s not sticking. The blame lies with the groundsman,he could have put the covers on a few days ago.
The poor lad has taken some stick this week must have been bad to report it to the police, there are some real cretins on social media
So we don’t play because Villa Ladies did!
Or Eli’s agent…
No its not sticking but it is still wet!!! Not sure it is good for grass to be covered for long periods anyway but I regret we are not playing as much as anybody but there is nothing we can do about it.
BBC at 3 o’clock so I believe.
Our pitch usually holds up well in terms of water logging, it usually drains well.
Its usually a frozen pitch that sees for us.
Well it’s better than being covered in water.
Cant quite say that but their two games on it in the last week certainly won’t have helped.
Doesn’t sound like good pitch management to me.
I might be wrong, but the weather seemed worse to me between last Saturday and Wednesday, than since Wednesday and as such the Wednesday game would have been better postponed.
I appreciate that we presumably have a contract with Villa which has to be honoured, but on one hand we have our manager bemoaning our training options are limited with one reason being they don’t want to mess our pitch up. On the other hand it’s ok for someone else to mess it up.
I can’t believe I’m writing this, it’s just that I was looking forward to the match despite everything I’ve said recently about not enjoying the football!!!
We are regressing back to the bonzo days of putting profit before our own interests again it’s like he never left
Thoroughly hacked off with that decision.
Sad to say that the match would have been the highlight of my day - that and the last 2 episodes of “Spiral” tonight.
I have feared a bad outcome for both match and TV drama, at least 1 is postponed.
I am disappointed that my usual Saturday afternoon enjoyment has been postponed, however, it might end up saving me a few quid. If we end up selling Eli and Zak without adequately replacing them, then I may well be cashing out before the next match.
Bloody hell, a ball hasn’t even been kicked and someone is still getting it in the neck at Walsall FC
