I am holding on to the hope that even during our horrible run, not many teams smashed us. We even got draws off some of the teams around us. So I think a draw is possible today. Winning at home may be more of a problem, but we will cross that bridge when we get there.
Strangely not nervous, probably because I have processed what has happened now and have accepted we only have a slight chance of promotion now.
Still, come on you Saddlers.

Biggest day in MS’s managerial career to date. Let’s get into them. No excuses for not giving it a go. 2-2 I’m thinking. If it goes pear shaped today , bescot won’t be a nice place on friday i fear. Leave it all out on the pitch lads. UTS

One of the biggest reasons we are where we are is our failure to put away great chances. Matt at Gillingham , Adomah against Newport and Accrington immediately spring to mind but there are others. We will get chances today and we will need to take one or two to be competitive. To those going hope you have a great day out and that the boys perform. UTS

Chesterfield will be like we’d have been had we sneaked into the play offs last season. Just really pleased to be there. Which could work one of two ways psychologically, especially as we’re gutted to be there this season.
A great result is us leading after today, a good result is it being all square, a just about acceptable is us being a goal down and a bad result is us being more than one down. I’ve seen us trying to claw back single goal deficits in the last few months with very mixed outcomes, chasing down a two or more goal deficit virtually impossible.
I have zero trust in this manager and a lot of these players. But I do trust the thousand Saddlers fans to get right behind them.

He can’t play upfront on his own. If Sadler does this then he’s learnt nothing.
I’d hoped that Levi would have progressed in 3 months and learnt from Matt how to hold the ball up and bully defenders. But sadly not.
Agree with that. Zero confidence in manager, if we do somehow manage to go up it will be mostly despite him not because of him. Also zero expectation of going up, thats what the last 4 months has done. Highlight of my day is going to see Hawkwind in Mcr tonight. Better not tell MS that the singer Dave Brock is 85 and still fit as he will probably try to sign him as our new striker. Obviously hope we do it but the damage is done as far as i’m concerned. I’m sure my passion and belief will return at some point UTS

I have no confidence at all that we’ll show up in these games & fully expect us to lose painfully. There is simply no reason to believe after the debacle of the last 4 months!
That said it’s game day and I am fully behind the boys! Come on you reds.

I’m trying not to think of my complete lack of confidence in MS for today until our fate is decided. Anything other than promotion however is just not good enough and the club can forget trying to spin their way out of L2 being acceptable next season.

I think he’ll start McEntee instead of Chang and Matt upfront, with a bench of: Hornby, Weir, Adomah, Chang, Lakin, Amantchi, DJ or Josh.
