Player Of The Season 23/24

For anyone interested in voting (with or without bias :rofl:)

I hope that you’ve complained about the inclusion of Max Dean and Ben Whitfield, as they haven’t played that much.

If anyone from Offtheline blog was discussing it I would. I think it’s valid and I wouldn’t include either in my team of the season (and didn’t) or my second team :man_shrugging:

I went with :-

Hinchliffe

Halliday. O Hora. Flint. Tomlinson.

Who was the gaffer @CompletelySaddled?

Baffled with the Hutchinson shouts but then what do I know?

Has one good game in 6 and scores the odd screamer, can be extremely selfish and too inconsistent for me…

Gordon is a class act and a real gem in this side, along with Coms & Jacko

Rating L Gordon over Hutch is bewildering.

Yeah that’s exactly who it was :man_shrugging::man_shrugging: it’s a short list and you select your team as a vote :man_shrugging:

Did you not understand the remit?

Here we go again…

That’s your opinion and that’s fine but it screams to me that you only consider he’s played well when he’s scored a screamer :+1:

And / or that you’re another who can only see a 8/10 after a goal and a 4/10 if he hasn’t which leans towards inconsistent.

I see his performances far more as 6,7s out of 10 with the odd 8 and the odd 3 so I don’t see that as inconsistent at all :+1:

I’m not telling you you’re wrong just explaining why we may see it differently.

Btw I voted him into my team in the basis he’s the only Walsall player not because I think he’s one of the two best CMs in the league. :+1:

I was asking you who your manager of the year was.

Why so prickly?

In the interests of having a healthy discussion on a football forum, I would say Pete Wild or Lee Bell.

The other front runners all have healthy budgets but if you look at what Crewe have achieved, it’s worthy of praise.

Ah….got you….my apologies I read that completely wrong…

I went for Scott Lindsey :+1:

Yep I went for Scott Lindsey as well. Crawley were one of the favourites for relegation before a ball was kicked

Scott Lindsey picked up half his team from National league south or from the scrap….

Lolos has been excellent and was up front at Oxford City in Nat South last year and he’s turned him into an 8….Joy Mukena was at St Albans in same league…Dan Orsi was binned by Grimsby…Jay Williams from Brackley……Liam Kelly Rochdale…

Scott Lindsey has to be manager of the year Crawley were tipped by most to go down done a great job with limited resources by the looks of the squad.

He’s a Walsall boy, isn’t he?

Is he? Never knew mate lol

With you as assistant manager, then?

(In response to your previous reply to me). #justajoke

It is a pity there isn’t a player of the first half of the season award, Hutch would walk that, but in the last few games he hasn’t looked like he can be arsed
