Sadler In or Out? The Poll

You’ve said exactly what I couldn’t be arsed to.

The blame can lie with both. I think it does

I’m not shifting any blame from Sadler. He’s the manager and it’s his responsibility. But I also think people should stop treating DJ like a god. I think he’s been a distraction from day one and I said in the summer I hoped he wouldn’t re-sign. He’s not solely to blame but he’s also no chance of being the solution either.

He’s a head ache to Sadler and tonight proved why he hasn’t been playing. It may sound OTT but honestly I wouldn’t be surprised if that was the last time we saw him play in a Walsall shirt.

It shouldn’t happen with pro players and it is ultimately disrespectful to fans but it happens all the time. Players just don’t want the manager and stop playing.
Put another man in charge and he will look at that squad and for the first few games at least he will play DJ. And you will see a different player.
Like I said shouldn’t happen and leaves a bad taste but DJ won’t be the first or last.

Got the stats and facts to back that up

Reminds me of Wilkinson looking pretty poor under Taylor and then having a nice goalscoring run when Flynn first came in.

Can see same with DJ and tbh it really needs to happen sooner or later as team is scoring at the rate of a bottom 2 team currently.

Changed my mind. Out.

Yeah but I’m not going to, because a) there will be nuances and b) it doesn’t make anything any better….but DJ touched the ball 10 times in 54 mins!!! And he took kick offs!!

Football mercenaries living on limited success. I wouldn’t touch them with a bargepole.

We’ve played 19 league games, in 9 of those we have conceeded 2+ goals. Essentially half of games we are requiring 2 goals to even get a point. Why are we fixating on the strikers, Sadler has had options upfront previous managers have only dreamed of. Sadler self orchastrated lack of man management with the only ray of light of last season is his own doing. If he thought DJ had a problem then why tf did he sign him. As is his inability to coach a team to defend, or keep possession or generally impose whatever the philosophy is which I’m still trying to work out over and above the press. It’s like I’m watching Whitney all over again only sped up.

Probably not a good argument is it really !’

I’d not be surprised if Matt had a lot more touches tbf as it takes him 3 or 4 to bring the ball under control.

Not the Cowleys for me. I’d add Gary Bowyer to that list.

Matt isn’t the issue.

It wasn’t meant to be an argument. It was a statement of fact to demonstrate how little involvement a player…an experienced player…had when his team needed it. It’s only an argument if someone tells me differently.

It’s not a fact though is it, there are no sources stats to make it a fact ? It’s just one of your opinions.

According to the Ifollow stats at half time, we didn’t even attempt a single cross in the first half. I thought Gordon did one but not much for any striker to feed off.

Not defending DJ he looks horribly overweight and out of shape, it was a tough game but we were abysmal for most of it. Not many came out of it with any credit in the bank.

We are a poor side with or without DJ to be fair.

And for fairness… compared with DJT who was utterly useless.

There are the stats……

They’re quite damning and I was trying to avoid having to show them. JM played 34 mins!
