They did an amazing job turning around Lincoln who had been in non league for years on 3-4k crowds.
Couple of years of Cowleys and they were playing regularly infront of 10k with two promotions and FA cup QUARTER final days out at Arsenal. I’d take some of that.
They did alright at Huddersfield aswell. Didn’t work out at Portsmouth but Paul Cook struggled there and I’d certainly take him here given what he’s doing at Chesterfield. They’ll be another soon to return football league stalwart that will be comfortably above this club in league 2 in 12 months.

Agree with this mate the Cowleys strike me as a managerial team who are short term hits 12-18months at the most although they would be great for our current predicament id rather look somewhere else for a long term fix

My guess is Sadler is not equipped to man management and cannot handle Johnsons personality. He didn’t see or learn from how Flynn managed him. Sadler is not up to management of players nor tactics

In Sadlers defence, he must have the most supple neck of any of the 92 league managers. The amount of bending, stretching, extensions and side to side movement that neck goes through in 90 mins plus an interview is a sight to behold.
Either that or he is trying to reconnect the wires to generate cognitive thoughts.

Seven of the 24 teams in L2 already have a different manager than started the season, before the end of November.
It has to be the manager and coaching staff, we have Daniels, Gordon, Farquasson, Stirk, Hutchinson, Draper, Johnson, Tierney and we are in bottom 6 of the division.
Those players are all good enough for this division so imo it has to be the management and coaching staff that are failing, a tidy know how manager would get a tune out this team.

Dean Smith asked by the Club in a consultant role to assist in finding a new manager. Happens a lot. I heard Souness was helping interviews at Rangers.

Real feel good factor and bounce to the place players relieved he’s gone. Imagine Hutch and DJ playing with real confidence. We beat Alfreton line up a big 3rd round tie ! It’s a pay day. New manager has this tough period to see what this groups about with a few Bob to spend at the back end.

he is a striker and we barely had the ball in their half! all him and Draper had was lost causes to chase. You can’t judge any of our strikers on last night. Maybe Matt who missed a sitter, then missed another sitter with the follow up.

I hate to say this but for many months I said I have seen enough of MS to know he’s not the answer.
Really most of us knew when he was appointed but were shouted down.
I hate this and all I want is a decent team, that play with confidence and some desire and that actually have a go.
The odd win would also be nice.
