This observation / criticism is nothing to do with how he played or his output with chances….
This is a million % about his body language and his effort levels.
There were balls played into him, some around him and he made no effort to secure the ball for the purpose of linking play. He made no effort in trying to make it more difficult for defenders to make easy clearances that had distance and direction on them.
Your job as a forward if you’re not getting much service is to a) try and make the best of what you have b) try and just help build play and most importantly c) make life as hard as possible for defenders to restart attacks.
There were some dire performances last night but in general I think players still tried…albeit things still went badly for them or they played very poorly. In my eyes DJ didn’t give a hoot. That’s unforgivable regardless of what you think of the manager you play for the team, the badge and the fans…

I posted this on the 8th October; since then we have got worse, not better; he has to go!

Oi mate, I’ve got copyrights on my name, I’m not happy that a rusty goal less immobile forward is being associated with me

As someone who has advocated reason be used in our current predicament I must admit that even I was dismayed by last night’s game .
I’ve tried to support Sadler but it’s becoming obvious that even our so called better players are now completely lacking in any confidence at , which shows itself in the slow ponderous indecisive performances .
Unfortunately this has to be placed at the managers door , very quickly his position will be untenable , the Alfreton game now becomes almost a unwanted distraction.if we can get a win which if we play like last night is very debatable it may only paper over the cracks , the Notts County game I now believe should be his defining game, if he can get a performance out of them with the right tactics and formation then maybe he buys himself a bit more time.
However if it’s the same then I’m afraid against all my instincts of trying to stop chopping and changing management he probably has to go to be replaced by I have no idea.there is no safety net.
Just listen to ourselves we are hoping we can scrape a win at Alfreton or possibly snatch a draw, Jesus Christ how low have our expectations become, it’s scary.

I’m still SaddlerIn, but would like a lot more visibility and transparency from our owners.

I’ve seen 6 or 7 games this season and I have been impressed with about 20 minutes of play in total - and this was the second half at Salford, which followed a woeful first 45 minutes.
To come on here after poor defeats, seeing fans parroting the ‘open, expansive, attacking football’ tagline given to them by the club, trying to suggest there are green shoots of hope, is excrutiating.
I wasted a couple of evenings on match threads trying to talk sense. Sometimes its best to leave it and let time deliver the cold reality rather than argue the toss to some that simply don’t want to know.
I said MF would rub our noses in it, I said Sadler would get us nowhere near where he did last year. I said the open expansive attacking nonsense and talks of new structures and global footballing networks was empty promises to sell season tickets. I said the Sadler recruitment process was a nonsense.

Watching the game last night I feel that the players don’t want to play with dj and looking back to early season games think there where better performances when dj wasn’t playing ask yourself a question why did he pick djt and Matt over dj I think Sadler is not good enough to manage this football club six months into the job he has split the dressing room and fan base so for me he’s got to go
I can offer you a burnt sausage roll or a Malten Lava hot Balti Pie as a settlement?
At least one of Sadler or DJ will have to go. The DJ situation has been a total farce ever since the first deal was ballsed up.
I’ve got to admit, last night the magic of DJ finished for me. He had his purple patch with us last year, but for well documented reasons, it couldn’t be fully realised. His re-signing has been like going back to an ex lover - but they aren’t the peachy 18 year old you remember!
Trivela need to learn some serious lessons from the whole affair, and think very carefully before overruling a manager (or “head coach”) on a signing again, and then also making too much of a meal of that signing.

Trivela Group need to own this and take action immediately. I fully expect Sadler to be relieved of his duties today.
In light of Trivela’s strategic objectives (multi-club model), I can’t imagine they would want to risk the potential of any negative publicity/ TRIVELA GROUP OUT banners live on the BBC on Saturday…

Do we want Trivela group out ?
Serious question

Failure to relieve Sadler of his duties immediately is mismanagement. I can’t support continued mismanagement of my football club. My opinion will change if Sadler is sacked imminently and a suitable replacement is appointed.
My blind faith is spent.

I am annoyed at how things are organised.
It seems to be LP is on the board but anything goes wrong its BB’s fault. Where is he? Oh 4000 miles away, cant really know whats going on then can he?
Seems more an exercise in fan anger management than anything else at the moment.

I was saying @Walsall_Casual had a good point regarding the potential negativity aimed towards Sadler and the board being aired live on BBC 1 midday on Saturday. I wasn’t saying I wanted Trivela out so my answer to your question is no.

This isn’t a criticism - more a keenness to understand where this has to get to.
Two questions …
- At what point do you go it’s time.
When we are in the bottom two for any period time ? With 6 or 7 games to go when we are in a bad run of form at looking over our shoulders ? Or does he get this season and if we are relegated or have a close shave so be it ?
- Do you not see the danger of leaving it late and seeing us suffer irreparable damage from a points deficit point of view ?

Perhaps the brain neural cells are starting to fire up in Birmingham AL and they have started to join the dots and realise that their appontment of a cheapskate rookie manager, who was part of a similar failed set up for a few seasons prior to that was actually their and the remenants of the old failed boards that they kept on’s ultimate decision to appoint Sadler in the first instance. Its a clear as a clear day
A bad workman always blames his bad tools for a bad job, how can they defend Sadler’s blaming of the pitch last night when Barrow managed to put on a winning performance on the same pitch ???
How without making themselves look like clowns themselves even more so, spin the PR to the fans and paying public when ulitmately it is the board yet again that has precipitated matters in the first place
BB needs to grow a pair of gonads and own up to the shitshow and take immediate action
My solution would be would be to sack Sadler and the rest of the coaching staff, dispense with the Dame and Gamble, offer Dean Smith a lucrative contract to the end of the season alongside any support staff he may want to bring in and lisiten to his wise words as to where the underlying issues are and put into action immediate remedies
If Smith doesnt want the gig beyond the end of the season ask if he would help with the process of finding and appointing a new manager for next season and stay as a part time mentor/advisor until the new manager is bedded in
They cant keep putting the paying public through this every season or else they will find crowds will be in the order of 2,000 rather than the current 6,000. Many have given up already and the prospect of attracting new fans has been on the decline for the last 5-6 years due to a total lack of ambition and prudent management

Id give him 2 seasons. We should be top half/challenging for play offs by then.
Your question implies we will be in the bottom 2 which i dont think we will be.
Id say if he were to select a fully fit first choice team for a number of games and performed poorly then he should go. Ive not seen anything like that yet though.
Yes of course. I think the risk of it happening is low though. I genuinely think Walsall squad is far better than bottom 2 and we will improve.
