I agree with you, mate.
Isnt the first time and wont be the last, and it happens all over the country,
But too instantly lable your own with such horrible terms is bang out of order…
The people who boo know it isnt clever or good but they feel ■■■■■■ off and show it with a few boo’s… Its not great but its not the end off the world so how the hell people can then take that too the point them call them all sorts of names is shocking…
Like people dont do things others dont like but im dam sure they dont go about calling you all sorts off ■■■■…
Gaffney is a big lad im sure he knows why it happens and if hes that botherd he work 100 times harder too prove people wrong…
I think in this specific situation it’s not that difficult to understand.
You’ve got a cocktail of one our worst ever players giving it large to fans in the midst of a pathetic performance whilst losing at home to a part-time team in a season that looked like it was shaping up to one of our most dire on record.
This isn’t a case of supporters getting on the back of player because he’s not very good, it’s the rejection of someone who would fit right in with the 18/19 squad’s poisonous mentality towards supporters.
Just rise above it. Think of the team, the club. It can have a negative effect on the whole team’ relationship with the fans, as they most likely will not be happy with one of their team mates being given grief.
Trust me if his own fans got behind him more, his confidence would sky rocket, after all the results are improving and every player will be needed to play their part…
Anyway whatever has happened in the past it is time for all of us to get behind the team in the next 2 home matches. We are on a good run and we can help that to continue.so all I will say is UP THE SADDLERS!!!
Wheres @RedandWhite
You can polish a turd as much as you want but a turd will always be a turd!
We will be a helluva supportive force when we “gel”
I can see the reason. And the reason is he chose to disrespect those who pay his wages. If some forget about that disrespectful behaviour after a week or two then fine. But it’s also fine to not forget about it, not until he proves his worth at least.
Large majority? What 2000 plus of us? Not sure its more than 10 really.
He isn’t playing bad on purpose.
Hes not setting league 2 on fire is he?
Because it is possible to have a nuanced opinion of not entirely agreeing with something, but also understanding why it happens.
Great result today.
Maybe just maybe we have turned a corner.
If we can ship out 6 in January and maybe sign 3 decent players on loan there might be an outside chance of the play offs .
Let’s be clear though. This is a terrible division with a shocking standard of football in which we are average at best.
He has before… maybe will again…
Not arguing that Dan, he’s got stick he deserved. Just think it’s counterproductive to be giving him grief seven weeks later. Let’s be honest, if he’d been banging in the goals since the Darlington game he wouldn’t still be getting pelters. Unfortunately for him (and us) he’s crap.
Closer to the playoffs than relegation! Merry Christmas!!!
Big congratulations to Alfie Bates too. Not been, but from reading reports on here he’s deserved that goal.
UTS
I totally agree, there has been some depressing stuff this season and I have moaned myself (mainly in person to people rather than on this board) but I was just trying to point out that the comment about ‘a lot of people’ from Thanatos could have referred to a number of people and not just El-N who thought it was aimed at him (basically I was trying to pour oil ahead of some potentially firey Boxing Day waters!!)
A move for a striker hasn’t worked out. It’s happened before with all those rubbish strikers like Grimes, Hewitt, Mansent etc so he’ll just join that list when he’s sent back to Salford.
There’s no point keeping him for the season as you have Lavery , Gordon and McDonald as the regular 3 now and Adebayo can be a decent striker if he really works on his weaknesses on the training ground.
Send Gaffney back and maybe some of his wages can be spent on keeping McDonald for the season at least.

Agreed and before he came he actually on paper looked like he had a lot too offer and too be fair the first few games he looked decent aswell and put his self about a lot but then seemed too drop off the pace…
But in the instants before the fans didnt give all this “grief” too said players? Nope…Which tells you its not the not supporting the team its just one player who did some thing very silly and a bad patch in his game and hes done nothing since too warrent praise or these fans too forget about it all…
You reap what you sow in life so too speak…
PS…Lavs is one of the better strikers weve had at our place in a long time…bit better service too him and weve got a great striker at this level
