Probably for our owners, who have a spare £18 million for another club, to invest in the original project, to put us at a top 7 level.

For many of us, the January transfer window and keeping Sadler in place despite some awful performances and winless runs, means they’re not maximising that chance.
Lessons haven’t been learned from last season and the same approach has been repeated which is giving the same results.
There’s going to have to be a pretty big turnaround in the next 3 games for many of us to feel any different.
And the amount of games throughout March are going to give even more time to see if there’s going to be a significant change.
Which is why I’d suggest not buying till the end of the month. They’ll have either done nothing and the results will be the same meaning people can still decide if they want to buy or not. Or they’ll have done something significant and performances and results will have picked up which means people can still buy.

I want a decent response from the club to our current situation. As I know it’s going to be a wrench for me not to renew. But enough is enough. Somethings going to give. Just wish I didn’t feel like I had to stop attending because of lack of entertainment. Unfortunately the lure of Sadlerball in it’s current state is negligible.

Yes and you keep repeating that same line over and over - problem is a season lasts for much longer and personally I’d be happy not to be in the ‘highest position’ for a part of it but instead keep some decent momentum and consistency and go on to finally achieve something called promotion - thats what success and achievement looks like….

But do you expect Trivela to guarantee promotion? Do we demand a change of approach every season if it doesn’t happen?
Doesn’t seem a great way to run a football club.
I get frustrations that we haven’t really strengthened in January. I just don’t know if this is because we can’t afford to or because Trivela are being tight.
Be grateful you’ve got a club to support laddy.
How dare you want to be in a higher division when we can guarantee being in the top half of L2, never going down but also never going up.

This is the 3rd season now.
If we can’t afford a bit more now then it is hard to see when we will be able to, unless we sell a player for really big money. We certainly won’t have the income we did from last season with gate receipts, prize money and players sold, every season.

Yes they need to be doing a better job of justifying how much money is being spent on the team.

Not really. Trivela could be sitting on it. Perhaps with plans to spend it on other things like the training ground or (and I’m not saying this is true) giving it to investors.
They need to explain a bit better.
I suppose it doesn’t help when two signings like Warrington and Pressley flop so badly. Not sure about Burke or Hancock either but hard to say because of injuries. Just trying to stay balanced.
The window didn’t feel like one that said"We are in a good position and are going for it" though.

Obviously we want that. Given where we are as a club. I don’t know how we can demand that.
It all seems a huge mess to me
We have folk complaining about lack of promotion others about lack of style.
Even if we got promoted with this style, I don’t see how fans would be happy in the league above where we would probably be bottom half ( although I note Lincoln are doing well with low possession)
Alternatively if we change playing style there will likely then be a period of poor results as we adapt, with no guarantee it will be successful long term either.
Then if Trivela stay on the same course as they are now we have the threat of declining attendances.

That’s it. I feel like they blamed last seasons January on losing Lowe, so as soon as we kept Kanu this time they thought “Job done!” And didn’t bother with anyone else.
If signings like Pressley had come off and he was putting more goals in then they could have maybe got away with it. But with the non performance of those earlier signings then they need to compensate for that.
I get the impression though that they decided they’d already paid out for the earlier signings so they weren’t going to pay more I even if it was required after they failed to live up to expectations. Which is why we settled for more young loans and injury prone players to bolster things.

I don’t think there has to be a huge shift in style, like trying to play out from the back or anything like that.
We can still play low possession, but we have to have more idea when attacking, we look so clueless at times, the patterns of play are so easy to predict. I think we have really missed Finnigan, because he made lots of great runs into the box and his timing was so good.
We simply can’t keep playing like we did v Barnet, and the previous two home games weren’t much better in an attacking sense.

It isn’t rocket science for me.
Invest in a quality manager who wants to not have 20% possesion at home to Crawley.
Proper investment in the backroom team, and most importantly playing staff.
If they can afford 18m to buy Silkeborg - I am fairly sure they can invest properly in a 4th tier side.

This is it.
Notice how after years of complaints about the off field stuff, those complaints have virtually dried up? That’s because Trivela have invested and made things better.
Whilst there may be slightly different complaints about the manager, the playing style, performances, transfer windows….. it’s all the football side.
Trivela need to realise that they now need to do the same with the football side that they did with the off the field stuff. More investment, better decisions and it will improve similarly. Trying to do it on the cheap is not going to do that.
