Second Boycott letter

Actually I asked nothing. I stated a rhetorical and then explained why the assertion that still has an effect on this football club is ridiculous.

You answered nothing, I’m stating facts. We’re no further forward than we were when Pomlett wrote his 4 year plan and everybody was writing the same “ah bless” bollocks posts to anybody that said it wouldn’t work at the time.

From what I have heard there is lot of micro management going on from the USA so I am not sure you are correct in your assumption that things are being run in the "old’ way. It would interesting to know if others have heard this too.

Well said.
There’s an awful lot of negativity on here, mainly pertaining to Sadler’s appointment, there’s not a thing any of us can do about it. Let’s give the man a chance, we haven’t kicked a ball in anger yet and fans are complaining there’s nothing happening at the club, everyone is on holiday!
Relax folks, people are too uptight. We will get a back room staff and sign players, it’s just not going to happen on your timetable.

Everyone was saying this shite to

Yes, and/or too full of themselves to realise that the club owners are working to their own pace, not that of a meth-addicted millennial.

I have no real issue in what was said in the letter, however it was totally pointless. Just a repeat of what’s been said in the first. The plans sound good on paper but we’ve had too many lows and too many false promises from owners for any of us to blindly believe this spiel. Only time will tell now whether it’s going to be put into practice.

Between the 2 letters, you’d have thought we’d have done more than just appoint a manager internally. No backroom staff, no players, no kit, no mention of the Adebayo fee etc. This 2nd letter was a little premature for me.

Yes, nothing to be too uptight about. Not finished in the top half of a table in this division, and 3 top 10 finishes in 16 years.

We are so happy!

No, it’s just because you’re a millennial :joy::joy::joy: stop expecting better!

I find it very interesting to look at the number of likes that are recorded against the differing optimism/despair posts.
Cats Optimistic post is way out in front with 33 likes similarly cookyskid wieghs in with 16. The vast majority of the pessimists have either 0 or 1-2 likes.

Yes, and it was exactly the same for the previous 6 / 7 seasons.

What does that tell you?

Yeah, because people don’t like it when facts are pointed out that aren’t positive about the club. Especially this time of year.

Psssssst it happens every year, and the popular opinion that turn out to be total bollocks normally do get the likes!

That there are many who don’t post are quite optimistic that the new regime will come good yet there are many posters who post regularly have already written Trivela off on the 2nd June (when the vast majority of footballers and coaches are soaking up the sun in Dubai and elswhere and will be sorting their futures out once they are permitted to sign a contract from 1st July onwards.)
I think I’ll reply to those pessimists when we see wht sort of a team we achieve when we get set to start the season.

Whose written them off?

This phenomenon is related to what’s known as Appeal to Authority. The ‘official’ line gets automatic credence simply by virtue of it being official. Anything outside of it can be easily dismissed as a ‘conspiracy’, ‘fringe’, or ‘extremist’.

There’s an evolutionary link to human psychology there with strength in numbers; chances of survival in the wild are higher in a community compared to being alone.

It’s no good if these good players keep getting booked or sent off meaning they miss loads of games or have to change the way they play in a game due to picking up an early booking. I’m glad Labadie has gone as you never knew if he would see out the game and weaken the team.

I’m glad he’s gone but it’s got sod all to do with his bookings. I’d take the bookings if he had any sort of passing ability that was better than what we already had, knees made of glass and so slow the game passed him by before a ball was kicked.

That’s the difference.

Or you can judge the words versus the actions they have already made and question that the two don’t add up. Already.

I couldn’t care less about likes, that post reflected how I see what is happening with some of our fans. They call for this, that and the other and then moan when it’s done. It could all go wrong, we don’t know but my point is give Boycott his chance with Sadler and how he wants to see us play. Flynn was not his manager.
