I thought Oteh looked okay and Draper impressed me too. We seem to have more options this season.
When did they not?
Gordon could be massive for us this season. I thought he was outstanding defensively to be honest, and scored a worldie when he returned from injury, but seemed to have a leash on him after that point. Could be a big season for him.

If we are going to splurge £500K and a hefty sell-on clause for a promising youngster, I’d rather it was Draper than Bennett. He did more in the first 5 minutes after he came on at HT than Matt did in 75.
Made Gordon’s goal, played a big part in the build up for Hutch’s. Strong, fast, knows where the goal is but isn’t selfish.

When will people start using a bit of restraint. Seasons not even started yet 
every chance you’re saying this next summer, when this seasons side gets replaced, like last seasons, that everyone was saying was so much better than the one we had the season before.

Glad to hear a lot of positivity on here. Seems we’ve had a good pre-season and have a lot of good young prospects in the squad. Inevitably, youngsters will have off-days. When they do, let’s continue to get behind them and just encourage them as long as they can be seen to be trying and/or being frustrated with themselves 
(a good sign, no?). It will pay dividends

Look, I would love us to smash Morecambe. I’d love us to win every single game and go up with a record point tally, and a goal difference that makes Pep Guardiola look conservative.
I just wish people wouldn’t whinge about the people who think that might not be the case, and are invariable shown to be much nearer to reality.

Being serious now. Just finish in the top 10 and a good flirt with the play offs would be nice but building blocks are needed now with good recruitment year on year. The players are young enough to keep building on imo. We’ve had a decent pre season. I just hope we don’t get to march and our fans are chanting we’re f**ling sht at the players and giving them waner signs after the match when they’re walking from the pitch. Let’s progress and if it isn’t enough this season let’s build on what we’ve got and get some quality in the areas which show up this season. If we’re needing 10/12 players again next summer we’ve failed and the yanks can swivel. But let’s see

And then Lincoln will have him back in January if he does well lets sort a permanent deal out before then rather than lose him.

If he does really well he won’t be going back to Lincoln.
They will sell him in January, plenty of Prem or Championship teams will take a punt on a promising 18yo striker.
