Summer Transfer Rumours / Confirmed 2023

I’m not arguing with you mate I agree!! My point was @Peel85 wasnt saying anything different to that either!!

That made me laugh.

Yes, also the bench seems a lot stronger. We have options that could enhance the team where previously you would see the bench and think there is no-one you would particularly want on. Even having a capable second choice goalie is an improvement on last season.

Anyone know if there was interest in any of our players from other clubs on deadline day ?

Swindon said to be signing Connor Wickham.

They don’t need more strikers surely?

Sounds like the writer thinks it might force Wednesday’s hand to offer him something. Likely to be pay as play, whoever makes it.

That was my take on it.

ACL rehabilitation, sounds like us it will be.

You have to fail the medical to sign for us .

Had a feeling that we wouldn’t bring in someone else and we’d have to use Taylor Allen at LCB until January

Jagielka available, only 41 years young!

Scott Dann would surely be ok still for this level and have the experience?
Worth an ask after we made him x

Player/coach

Be a good call for a contract till the end of the season with a 1 year extension in the club’s favour but depends on his current level of fitness since he left Reading in July but obviously will have no match fitness and would take a month or two to get to that stage

Imagine the uproar on here signing a 36 year old

You’ve not been happy about us signing a bloke who’s decided to retire and then your replacement would be a 36 year old who could quite easily come in and realise he’s no longer good enough and retire :flushed:
