The Mat Sadler Thread

I think the Charlatans lyrics are quit apt too.

Everyone has been burned before
Everybody knows the pain

Those lyrics were written by David Crosby for a song recorded by The Byrds, which was called Everybody’s Been Burned. The Charlatans used the lyrics for their song, The Only One I Know.
Of the two I would say The Charlatans song is far superior, but I wanted to point out those couple of lines were recycled.

If most people could get their wish on this thread and Saddler did get the sack who the ek would come and turn things around cuz I can’t think of anyonešŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

Gareth ainsworth !!!

Good shout dunno if he’d drop to our level tho

Would for the wages like i said couple of days ago most managers aint got a choice now , people like him aint got a bottomless pit , aint like it used too be waut around 8-12 months for a better option

Id even take Mark Kennedy just been sacked by Lincoln

Ainsworth is not remotely coming to a club as low as Walsall. He’ll have had a very decent pay off from his last job and will be waiting for the right opportunity where he can re-establish his reputation. That’s not here!

As for Kennedy, he was sacked by Lincoln. Read up on why. We do not want him here. There are signs that Sadler is really looking to bring youth through and give them a chance and, as a character and a manager for that purpose, he seems to be exactly what we need, in terms of nurturing them into first team football. Whether he can get the rest of it right, putting wins on the board, remains to be seen.

I just dont understand the big obsession of MS with some posters , MS has had no choice but to use youth due to injuries lets not dress that up as anything else. If a few more were fit would that many youth last night of had a chance. Would RAM have been recalled from rushall if we didnt have so many injuries ? Im not against giving youth a chance we need too but lets not dress up the fact MS has HAD to use them not wanted too.

As for ainsworth if you think we cant target a manager like him im sorry were dead in the water and may as well shut up shop. Theres no way Lampard would drop to oxfords Level thats not what his agent was saying but yeah :+1: i know exactly the reason Kennedy was sacked and its a pretty poor excuse tbh what was so wrong in what Kennedy said ?

And hes really nurturing DJT into first team football hes throwing the poor kid into the lions den what MS is doing will break DJT not help him

Matt Taylor has just been sacked aswell he’s a good shout. Ain’t going to happen tho MT will be here for start of next season at very least

 saddler I mean whoops

Are you saying Shrewsbury have sacked Matt Taylor?

I know that I will be laughed out of town for even suggesting this but we need a kingpin up front to build our game around.

Draper is wonderful but Lincoln will recall him.

I know that wages would be high but I’d go all out for Lyle Taylor from Forest.

I know that wages would be high but when we signed Trevor Christie all those years ago, he’d been at Forest and Man City. I know that football has changed but money talks, he wouldn’t need to move house, he’s not getting game time and he’s not a spring chicken. He even played on loan at Blues so not averse to the Midlands!

I’d love to see a genuine danger man to get the fans off their seats. I honestly think that a finisher would get us into the play offs because in the last few games, possession and shot counts have been excellent.

Probably a pipe dream but we’ve had some brilliant strikers over the years and it would transform our creative midfield if there was a focal point.

Rovrum sacked Matt Taylor the other day.

He is still a free agent, not played for nearly 18 months now. Right up our street…
