Nah let’s go for the most romantic club name in jockland, it has to be Bonnyrigg Rose . Aaaahhh the sweet smell of the flower of jockland I’m just a big softie aye I .
Caernarfon v Legia, at probably the best football ground in Wales outside of EFL teams and The Principality (Bangor), there was max 1000 there.
Only way they’d get any decent European football is to either buy TNS (millionaire owner), or invest like they do, but it would be loss making on the whole.
Shrewsbury fans want him if they sack Hurst
If MS does leave I’d be surprised if it was Shrewsbury. Similar size clubs and they might well be in league two next season.
Why would he go there? When we’ll be back in league 1 next season?
If/ he leaves it’ll be to a bigger club, or he’ll stay and go all the way with us.
Because he used to be their club captain?
Ah, but hopefully we’ll pass them as they come down on our way to the top.
I appreciate I’ve done a 180 on Sadler, but we’re not a bad option for him.
We have great owners and are building something strong here. Importantly he couldn’t have complained if he was sacked before Notts County, so that suggests that Trivela back their managers and won’t lurch from one to another.
He’d clearly leave for the right offer, but Shrewsbury probably wouldn’t be it for me.
But then again, what do I know, I swore he’d never succeed here.
If Shrewsbury or anyone else offer him the right deal ( way bigger wages) just like smith he’ll be off. I ain’t saying that’s Shrewsbury but I know he’s really close to people at Shrewsbury still. He played for their legends team to raise money during the close season.
I think he has more ambition than to move to Shrewsbury tbh (no disrespect to them). More likely he will have his eyes on The Bluenoses job when it next comes up.
I appreciate what you’re saying but he could easily take it and then get the boot and ruin his career.
I’d say to leave a league 2 side that you’re well backed both financially and in terms of being sacked would need a top end league one or championship job for me to leave it.
All disrespect to them
I have no doubt he’d leave for the right offer, and I do have a feeling he’d do a Smith and not see the job through here if a big L1 or lower Champ team came in, but thats probably where his ambition lies, not moving to a club at the same level as us in size, ambition, finances, and probably division, soon.
There’s a difference in the backing he’s getting, though. Smith was having to work with budget cuts, having to lecture the board on establishing an identifiable club culture. He probably realised even if he’d got promotion, he’d have minimal backing keeping them up. None of that appears to apply to Sadler and Trivela.
Think we’d lose out to Blues if they came a calling for Sadler. Fortunately they’re doing well.
Shrewsbury
Matt Sadler up for manager of the month for September. 2nd time already he’s been nominated. He’s up against Charlie Adam, Mark Bonner and Darren Moore
No such thing as a curse. Ooh a wicked witch from the West has put a curse on a football award.
Sorry if I offended anyone original post now deleted! Lesson learned…
I wonder what the stats say? Presumably, the managers of teams that win things get plenty of these awards, plus, not to get one surely points to a lack of success?
