Are you jeff bonser

Trialists are no more than job seekers.
If you are any good you dont need to go on trial.

Bonser had so many faults but our best era was under his stewardship. Signing and resigning players like Gordon and Matt shows we (hope i am wrong) are nowhere near competitive enough on the pitch or off it( in terms of budget.)

The club need to announce something soon, not for the progress of the club, or because I want a signing, but to give gensanx something of relevance to debate. Comparing the highlights of a 20+ year reign over a 2year reign is clutching at the very least.

I dont think its fair with some of the insults being hurled towards @Gensanx123. Yes, this person is somewhat repetitive but they are still entitled to their opinions whether or not other folk agree or otherwise.

Sometimes i agree with the poster, sometimes i dont. In real terms, over the last 40 years i dont think we have ever been so low. A poor League Two team with little chance of promotion and seemingly unable to attract players of a decent standard because either a) we are a shite league two team or b) we dont pay the goingvrate of a club with aspirations of going up.

When compared with previous decades @Gensanx123 sounds totally frustrated. I find this totally reasonable to be honest.

Just my opinion.

Cheers

We are not passive in this, our support and encouragement for the players can drive them to success. It was very effective last year when mediocre players turned it on and showed ability when we inevitability conceded.

I want us to sign some good players but il support the average ones we have and find some enjoyment in this club one way or another.

Lets start looking to bring on lower pyramid players, have a scouting network and be a club that develops and progresses talent!

5 years is too long in my opinion, but the only thing i can do is buy my tickets, support the club and hope many others continue to do the same.

Agreed. it’s as simple as you’ve explained. Even in those 3 very dark Bonser Years he was getting ex prem people to the club. Mcdonald, Wayne clarke etc and then when a good one became available paid a fee eg O connor

These guys in charge. No chance. The quality of player they are willing to fund is simply not good enough

So Saddlerone etal. Can’t really say on this website what I think of you either !!!

It’s a different game now though. Wayne Clarke won the league with Everton in 1987 and then came to us in 1992. The top players earn enough money when they’re at the top not to need to drop down the leagues now.

Success in spite of Bonser, not because of him. Were you crying your eyes out in 98 when we had the lowest budget in the league and Jimmy Walker was playing on the wing in a pre season friendly? :joy:

Have a read of that to actually see how much a shambles it was.

Don’t agree there are loads of people who drop down to League 1 and 2.

Its whether you will pay the wages or not. Adomah will be the test. Him rocking up at a Fleetwood for example tells you everything you need to know about Trivela investment !

Absolute load of crap in my view. Many of the players financed in that Team this lot wouldn’t be fit to tie the boot laces of

I was there. I watched it !

What is? The article is literally direct interviews and quotes from Chris Marsh and Jimmy Walker. :joy::joy:

It’s also been referenced multiple times that we had the lowest budget in the league at that time and it was only because of Graydon that we were able to achieve such success.

You seem to have lost some time of his reign. Maybe youve ignoring the last 10 when all he was interested in was the club survining on as small a budget as possible while getting as much money out the club as he could

Nowhere near as many there used to be.

Tv money has skewed what top players earn, Walsall simply can not compete with that

No it won’t. We already know he’ll have to take a wage cut to come here.

Why what’s happening at Fleetwood

Mo faal isn’t it👀

Yes it’s a complete load of crap in my view and it’s embarrassing you are trying to justify it

We, for example had probably the best goalkeeper outside the Championship and Premiership for all those years

He can’t have been too unhappy with his wages can he ?:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

He only went when West Ham came calling

If it is i will jizz my pants here in the garden. Please, please, please.

The problem is that there are other opinions expressed @Gensanx123 often hurls insults.

You’re talking about things that happened 20 years ago as if they have any relevance to today
