You’ll be consistent in that view if we do end up signing any of them then?
Its the hope that kills you.
I’m genuinely trying to work out what you’re arguing against here? I’m literally providing you with facts and first hand quotes from the exact people involved at the time about how poorly ran and funded we were at that time under Bonser.
You should probably give it a read, you might learn something?
Agreed. We are as low (for a consistent period of time) as we have been, league position-wise, in my 40 years as a fan. We have been promised this, that and the other, but we are no better on the field. There will always be ‘happy-clappers’. There will always be ‘moaners’. It’s how being passionate about a club affects people. I’ve quite liked the longer contracts and young, energetic signings (at the back/midfield), however, it’s top managers, attackers and goalscorers that prove any ambition.
He’s not going to read the article, Tom.
I know. I tried…
Just walk away from this one.
Looks like Matt?
Could be Deon Moore
Walsall Fan TV has looked at 4 potential strikers we could look at (I’ll disregard the 5th - who was Oteh coming back!). A couple of those looked worth a trial - better than the two we have with us at the moment. I presume we are after a Faal-type player on loan, which would leave us looking to sign one other. Whether that’s Kamwa, or someone else, remains to be seen. At the moment, the odds of a Matt-Gordon striking partnership on the opening day are looking shorter and shorter!!
Definitely not him in the picture
1 it’s Matt, 2 Faal was … ok?
We all cling to the faint hope that someone is spotted training who is not Josh Gordon
Hilarious
With all due respect mate, you lost me right there.
20 FOOKIN YEARS AGO.
How hard is it to understand how much football has changed in that period of time?
@Gensanx123.
How much money did Bonsor put into the club in the decades he was in charge?
How much have Trivela put in in the last 2 years in comparison?
I think you are being a bit harsh here! It’s a forum, where people can spout their opinions, and can people can either respond or ignore them. I don’t share Gensanx’s overly pessimistic stance, but he does raise some valid points about the budget potentially being lower than last season. If we do sign two cracking strikers before 31st August then we should all be reassured and even happy. But the level of triallist so far has not blown many of us away - we need better if we are to challenge for the top 7. So, let’s be accommodating of different views, without resorting to insults.
Correct.
That’s my opinion.
Some of the 5 he mentioned on there were just pure insanity! He suggested giving the ex Villa striker Wesley a trial
Not him, player in the picture has a darker skin tone
