How old is he now mate?
Potentially give them back hardy
Everyone froths over Rowe. Not been impressed when I’ve seen him play, I’ve seen quicker oil tankers. There is a reason no ones took him in 5 years.
No disputing that goal scoring record mind.
I’d rather look elsewhere for the money he will likely demand.
A certain ex Saddler in Russell Martin too!
I agree. Called Tom, hardworking and struggling for goals and to play for mid table league one team. Worked out alright when another striker was signed five years ago with a similar career.
Just think what his wages would be…£££’s&££‘s
Rowe is looking for his pipe and slippers contract as the big 30 approaches, the one he would have got had Kirkham and Wesham pipped Salford to promotion, he’ll end up somewhere like Chesterfield.
I dunno, we’re only a league above where he has been named the best player two years running. That’s exactly where we should be looking.
Proven goalscorer - fantastic track record for the last 5 seasons. How many points have we squandered this season for failing to put teams away? Definitely worth a look
With Scott Sinclair joining Preston … Gino’s even further down the pecking order
It was a good opportunity for him. I generally don’t have an issue with players moving up a level (at the time I could even see logic in Grigg moving to Brentford but he wasn’t good enough to keep up with their rise).
While Ginnelly was a hardworker however I couldn’t really see a huge amount in his game that screamed out to me he’d be a big success in the championship.
To play hardly any games in a year takes some doing though. All that at one of the lowest payers in the championship so he’ll probably come back down to someone in league 1 not that much richer than if he’d stayed the full season this time last year.
interesting and he is one ive seen mentioned by a few fans in recent years must be worth a punt for a league club.
Ginnelly would be perfect for us. Him on one wing and Wes on the other
Danny Rowe would be alright.
Kwame Thomas, no thanks. We want to get better than what we’ve got
Yeah to be fair if he scored goals I wouldn’t care if he stood still all game. There’s just something about him that puts me off. Seen him play a fair few times On the box and not been that impressed.
As mentioned above he’s probably looking for his last pay day not sure we are the kind of club that will offer him that.
Maybe, he’ll end up at Wrexham…
Not convinced that he’s a Clarke signing though. He likes athletic, mobile strikers who contribute more to the team than ‘goal hanger’.
Kwame Thomas is an interesting one for me: it might signal Elijah’s departure though. I get the impression that the gaffer is rapidly running out of patience with his lack of goals, consistency and dare I say it, weak mindedness. Kwame is a Nottingham lad who began at Derby so the pull of being close to home might work in our favour (Scunthorpe May offer more money).
I can’t see Hardy staying either. If we are freshening up the squad with ‘forward-thinking’ players, players who have not really made an impact will be shipped out, I suspect.
If Kyle Bennett and Tom Nicholls are leaving the Gas this January window, maybe Josh will reignite the bromance with Leahy? To be fair, Luke played his best football with Josh Ginnelly in front of him.
Personally, I would rather have Bennett and I think that Josh would be keen not to drop as far down as League Two…
Having said that, watch him sign for Mansfield now!
Agree fully with this , he was never ever going to cut it at Championship level never. I suppose it was just a case of good timing for him, Rich run of form lucky move and a pay rise.
Fair play to the lad
Never heard of this Thomas guy so had a look at his record.
3 goals in league one this season, o.k something to work on perhaps. Zero goals for Solihull Moors the season before…4 goals for them in 17/18.
Looks a 3/4 goal a season striker at whatever level to put it mildly.
The club under this new ownership should now what is required now to fire this club out of league 2 and get up to the natural home.
Wes McDonald, Lavery, Simon Cox, Gordon with a new creative midfielder in the squad aswell, I’d be very confident that would get the club back up within the next 18 months. Might put 5k on the gate aswell.
Better than that. He is a decent player
Just saw this Dayle Grubb is expected to leave Forest Green Rovers this month, with Walsall and Newport County AFC both thought to be interested.
The attacking midfielder is Rovers’ longest serving player, having joined them from Weston-super-Mare for an undisclosed fee in January 2018.
Sounds about right for us He has made only three League Two starts this season !
