If there is a possibility to bring in some young talent on loan with a view to signing them up in the summer if they are released from their parent club I would certainly support that, its worked in the past for us e.g Sawyers.

I don’t think we are in a good position to go for the play offs.
In fact I would say it’s unsustainable.
Our priority must be to unearth a £2m teenager to sell for £450,000 - again!

Absolutely right we don’t want several more “maybes” bought in to the detriment of the development of a promising bunch of youngsters.DC’s summer excursion into the transfer market was not good and we certainly don’t want more of the same without being able to unload a good number of last times mistakes.
Ryan Brobbel who plays for TNS in the welsh league is a player I would recommend. Started out at Middlesborough an excellent creative midfielder very skilful.
You forget sometimes when someone recommends players out of non league that some of them have a very good pedigree in their early teens as a footballer, maybe didn’t get a break or wrong place wrong time etc, and they are quite capable of doing a job in our league, just because they didn’t make it at the top doesn’t mean they can’t make it at the bottom.

A few teams making signings when it’s all quiet at walsall, hopefully we have a few irons in the fire .
It doesn’t matter if it’s the January window or the start of the new season we’re struggling to compete when it comes to getting players in , so avoiding bringing players in now the same problem will still be there later

Sorry but I’m confused by some of the above.
We are a Football club who’s main focus should be winning games and pushing for promotion. It’s certainly not impossible with the correct signings.
So yes we should be doing all we can in this window, to bring in some talent and get a feel good factor into the club. Suggesting we just write off it really is a loser mentality.

Half way trru the transfer window and still nothing even tho DC knew we needed help and he was sure we would see “some weak minded players leave” hes not done much, I aint really fussed but too make a huge song and dance about it for so long too now be what can only feel like others strays were gunna be left short again…All about end of season bigger build i think tho maybe hes saw that?

Looks like Matt Jarvis is on his way to Carlise on a short term contract, could he of done a job for us this season ?
Fully agree Scoob, Never all gunna get on with our thoughts as well have different ideas where we would like the club too be and how too be but all for the good the club nothing else so can only praise people for that even if it does get out of hand (me included)!
I aint heard nothing really you would put your house on yet, Worried a little that he gave so many big talks about weak minds and helping the squad out with some new boys, Maybe hes got it all under control and we just dont konw like the typical DC way or were still looking and all that’s left on shelf’s are more garry lidls and gaffneys? I dunno im not fussed tbf play offs are too far for us and relegation looks too far away too so maybe settle with what we have and build these boys up more for some bigger signing in summer i really dunno, This is where we all trust DC again
