The point about having a head start prior to the current run is good and only serves to enforce the lack of end product we are currently seeing compared to those around us.
UTS.
Can’t see Holden going anywhere mate, he’s not achieved anything to date.
Who would bid for him?
Do you need to guess? think of the most appalling district in Stoke and I think you will have your answer.
In all fairness there still a Tin pot club, it won’t happen.
Vale couldn’t afford Holden, they’re more likely to get Gordon on a free imo.
Sunderland rumour was interesting. Lee Johnson had him at Bristol City and probably liked him but thought he wasn’t ready for championship. Perhaps less likely if Sunderland go back up to championship but I could see that happening.

I’ll drive Gordon there myself - he’s useless. Gawd knows what his strike rate is - we can do much better.
Clubs will definitely be interested in Holden.
They’ll be looking for potential and when fit, he shows it. Not the finished article by any means but there’s something there that bigger clubs will be interest in.
Can see a decent size league one club take a punt on him.
Thanks for this, but sad to see us part of this graphic. What a ■■■■ fest of a season this is.
That is NOT an easy run in we have got to find a special performance from somewhere
It’s not. And it’s not beyond the realms of possibility that we could take no points from the next 4 games, whilst I could see southend taking 4 points in that time, leading to a very nervous last few games.
That said, of course it would need southend to pick up their form as well.
Highlighted the teams currently in the top 7. Although Exeter, 3pts off 7th, play 4 of their last 8 games against the bottom 6.
Our survival is NOT as cut and dried as some are happy to make out.
Southend, & Grimsby are improving, both coming close to unexpected 3 pointers recently against ‘better’ opposition. Colchester have done something about their plight and will survive.
I can forsee two draws out of our last 7 fixtures, because 1) we cant score 2) we have lost all confidence 3) because Dutton sets us up to strangle a draw from matches instead of going for a win.
We do have a slightly better goal difference which may help, but by golly it’s going to be squeaky bum time.
I have us finishing in 22nd place
Well thats optimistic for you Its cheered me up immensely
I WAS optimistic once…can’t quite remember what day it was…Ah I remember, a message from the lottery…you’ve won! £30 it was.
You’ve been following 'em for as long as I have, how do ya stay so optimistic when we are ALWAYS let down by our club?
Exactly the same could be said about us - we’ve definitely improved and have been close to taking 3 points off several teams who are much higher than us in the table. Our position might be bad, but any of the teams below us would happily swap places.
Well you see I don’t see it like that. I see a club surviving in a town that doesn’t really care and doing all it can to retain its status. Yes it will have ups and downs but football is no longer anywhere near the level playing field it was when we were younger. The rich have got richer (much richer) and some of the players we used to attract from higher levels now prefer to be reserves on much higher salaries than we can afford.
The only hope for clubs like Walsall is that it can continue to attract people like me who have a sense of community cohesion and some residual pride in their community to watch and more importantly a large number of local youngsters it can coach and mentor to become professional footballers. Some of whom might be good enough either for our first team or may become marketable.
Times are grim at the moment but I am sure things will get better and I hope the support I give along with others will help in that regard.
FTFY
It’s the clubs job to give the town something to care about , just like the other local teams in area have for their supporters.
The fans have more than looked after the club over the years.
Stop talking sense I don’t like it
