The treatment table

Did this chap look like he could be filthy rich, but riddled with gout?

On the one side of the coin player welfare and treatment is paramount and I wish both Farq and Oisin a speedy recovery and hope they can come back to play their parts in the season ahead.

On the other side of the coin, both of their deals are up in 2025, that is a huge decision for Sadler and Trivela to make. Both likeable players, who would naturally be in the first XI when fit. But the when fit part is a challenge. Given there are 4140 minutes in a league season the total minutes played in the league by both Oisin (2 seasons) and Farq (1 season) amounts to 4159 minutes, so on average a third of a season is what we are getting from them currently. That’s a big challenge.

This time last year, we were very close to signing Jordan Willis, ended up in League 1 at Northampton.

I mentioned him earlier in the summer, but if we were looking for a defender, TJ Eyoma would be good.

And they all seem to be different injuries. How can a professional sportsman have such weak muscles?

McEntee out for around a month, i feared it would be longer.

Bad news. Hugely stretched in that part of the pitch. Is plan D a back four or is it Jamma? Or do we know if we have a kid coming through? I remember a very young Dean Smith (17 years old?) being thrown in up at Sunderland in a sink or swim way and he very much swam.

Can Cayden Bennett play centrally, in a 3?

Should post that on the blues forum to remind them there are 2 teams on the pitch, it’s not all about them, we didn’t raise our game because it was our “cup final”:rofl::rofl: that is our game, and they shouldn’t worry nobody finds it easy to open us up.

I think he could be the right side of the three if pushed and even offer something going forward as Taylor Allen does on the left, with Albert at RWB. Jamma is not an option I think but Comley might be when he is fit.

Farquason out for 3 months
L Gordon still a doubt for Saturday
Daniels Comley J Gordon fighting to return over the next 2 weeks

3 months is better than we first thought on Farq.

Personally i would still release farq at the end of the season… cant take players as passengers throughout the season

It’s a crying shame that Farq is such a good player, but is so made of glass.

We were warned about this from Newport fans and they have proved to be right.

Harsh, but for me he needs to be replaced by someone without the injury history he possesses.

Sad but true, our budget sadly is just too small.

Liam Gordon is fit for tomorrow, whether he will start I’m unsure of

Yeah daft as it sounds that’s good news re Farq in comparison to what we thought the prognosis was.
