What nonsense we are all expected to go along with.
There will be a funeral, and it will be a whopper. Anyone that wants to join in can fill their boots. Just leave it at that.

On one hand you say people can go along with it if they wish, on the other you’re labelling it all as nonsense. Don’t pretend you’re all diplomatic over it. Bit of respect, perhaps though?
I must have missed that bit.
Absolutely, that’s what funerals are for.
The nonsese is the pre-determined schedule of mourning, which is apparently interupted so that Charlie 3 gets his promotion proclaimed HURRAGH …then its back into mourning.
Dar Comrade!
The Kinsella debate is becoming popular and some views being normalised…

There is no direction from the government to cancel fixtures. So let’s hope the EFL make the right decision and we can get down there tomorrow .
Julian Knight, the chair of the Digital, Culture, Media and Sport select committee, has confirmed that individual sports can decide themselves if events take place this weekend.
The DCMS chair highlighted that if sporting events do take place this weekend, then they must be done so in a respectful way.
“This seems to be a sensible approach - that it’s going to be up to individual sports how they mark the passing of our remarkable Queen,” he said.
"Whether that is silences, the wearing of black armbands or the singing of the National Anthem, or whether there will be those who wish at this time that perhaps there won’t be having an event at all - it’s completely up to the individual sports.
“But the Government guidance seems to be relatively flexible and understanding.”
Playing devils - My interpretation is that it’s one or the other from him and Comley, the latter getting preference due to being brought in.
I also disagree with perception that Kinsella was to blame for the second Bradford goal, that was both Bennett and White covering the overlap.
bet the boxing goes ahead tommorow no way they will lose all that revenue at short notice so why should football? my lad works at the Bescot he wont get paid if its called off its not just the fans people will lose money in wages.
My daughter also works at the stadium, dont see why she should miss out on a days pay.
It goes beyond the immediate individual’s loss though: food waste; loss of income to suppliers; loss of income to peripheral businesses like coach firms, pubs, cafés and restaurants, train companies and such. Some small businesses might even fold as a result of short notice cancellation. Myself, I hope normal life goes on unhindered by all this sycophantic forelock tugging in the media.
Confirmed - game postponed
Off
Nonsense
Official statement
Stupid decision
Wonder where that leaves Tuesday Aswell.
Surely that one will be on?
What does from 9-10 mean?
Should it say on 9-10 ? Or they saying it could be longer during the official 10 days of mourning is it?
I’m not going to moan over one day myself ( though I totally understand those who think it should have been on especially those who paid travel and accommodation) but surely any longer than Saturday would be overkill?
Ridiculous. Instead of hundreds of thousands of people across the country coming together for a public event and paying their respects (as West Ham did last night) we are all forced to sit at home moping?
With the funeral likely next weekend I would assume Tuesday and Orientwill be off too.
A very poor decision and I am someone who supports the Monarchy. I presume that Tuesdays match and next Saturdays will be postponed too if we follow the logic of this decision.
I remember when my dad and my mum died , the first when I was 18 but I went to work. Death is sad thing but it happens to us all and life must carry on.
