W 2-1 vs Notts County (A) - League Two - Sat 9th Dec, 3pm

Last night I watched with glee M Palin’s 8-1 eight bloody one! Their centre forward wears glasses when he’s playing!
“I didn’t come here on a free transfer from Walsall to talk about shorts!”
Our situation entirely…expecting to get beaten week in week out… gets boring after a while.
Have noticed that Sadler seems ultra confident in his interviews… he ain’t going anywhere.
Lets wait for our two upcoming league defeats to see if the Trivela lot sit up and take notice of their investment going downhill?

The amount of building going on in this could solve the housing crisis in a month.

No, some people had made their minds up before a ball was kicked when MS was appointed.

It’s almost like other shite results don’t justify ours.

And how wrong they were :joy:

And a load of other people went into the season, like me, with cautious optimism hoping that Sadler would do well.

And sadly they were proven right.

That’s simply because appointing Sadler was another humungously obvious red-flag on the unfolding footballing car-crash of the Pomlett/Trivela era. There was already a lot to be very concerned about before Sadler was even appointed. Those of us that were expressing those concerns were repeatedly told how “Trivela” were busy learning and they’d only been here 6 months…9 months…12 months, and how things would some how work out fine when they got their own man in and implemented their own methods etc etc. Then they go an appoint Sadler. An Appointment that was so glaringly obviously key to the short to medium term future of an already failing football club, and they spent a month farting around before giving the job to someone with zero managerial experience who was a bit part coach in the previous years of almost unerring crap. The very best thing that any one could have said about it was that it was a huge risk and risks can rarely/sometimes work. The far more likely clear and obvious outcome of the matter was that it was an appointment that given the recent history and trajectory of the club was almost certain to fail. How can anyone reasonably expect a role that had recently proven beyond two experienced fourth division managers and quickly broken two rookies, to be within the gift of another rookie? It was a crazy appointment from a football perspective, and also went a long way to destroying any momentum of goodwill on Trivela’s behalf, which was another damaging self inflicted fail. Here we are 6 months down the line, and the only surprise is things are actually WORSE than most of the realists feared. For example the signing of Danny Johnson for me looked like a key one in respect of avoiding total shitness and a relegation scrap, but somehow, under the auspices of Sadler, we’ve even managed to screw that up!!! Incredibly, some folks are still whinging at their fellow fans for having simply called out the bleedin’ obvious. The “Emporer’s clothes” mentality that was almost company policy for the decades under Bonser/Whalley/Gamble/Mole/Pomlett is so engrained with some Trivela could probably take another month dithering and then appoint Byfield as next manager and some would be find merit to cling to, and critisise any dissenting opinions.

Think that was the game Jack Grealish on loan from Villa played for them.

Can you get a ticket on the day ?.

When they announced that tickets were on sale for this one, they said that County would confirm 24 hours in advance whether on-the-day tickets would be available. Not seen anything so far … but if they are it’s £2 more than for the advance tickets.

He is the only bloke daft enough to take it :joy:

Thanks

Went to some great games at County in 87/88 with Coakley and 2005 with Dosh great atmosphere with thousands of us. Dreading tomorrow with Sadler.

If we can start out on the front foot (get at them before they get at us) we have a chance of getting some points.
Earing’s a creator, someone we missed badly, it will be nice to see him back for 90 minutes after a long, long absence.
Providing DJ is fit, I’d run him along with Draper up front for the entire game. I’m not a fan of playing 1 up front.
I’ll be watching from across the pond, we desperately need a win to turn our season around.
UTS!

Notts County is a tough place to go according to James Ray

He’s obviously never been to Hooters.

Yep, i had free tickets from his mum and dad and gave him a lift back to Solihull. Interesting, they were beat before we even played, Jack said that the talk in their dressing room all week was how good we were. Not sure if that will be the same this time around!
