W 2-1 vs Notts County (A) - League Two - Sat 9th Dec, 3pm

Heavy rain tomorrow morning and gale force winds during the game. Could it be called off? Strong winds always ruin a game.

From memory when we beat them 5-1 it was stormy weather and the ball kept getting stuck in the mud for Febian Brandy to run onto and score.

Every cloud

No it didn’t. We just had a team of proper footballers who didn’t let a poor surface get in the way of passing the ball to each other.

It was a really weird game. We should have scored 10. I’m a huge Smith fan, but that one was a one-off. I’m sure the weather was a bit of the reason. No problem if I’m wrong.

Yes. Pitch looks how I remember it. Perhaps the storm was before kick off

Was pre kick off as was in the Trent Bridge in from about 1pm (guess I was sozzled but pretty sure went in with calm blue skies). Came out at 2.50pm and it was torrential rain walking over the Trent!

Got back on the train and it stopped at Burton after six and some fans got on (can’t remember who they were playing). Turns out their game was delayed by about half an hour due to the weather.

I’ve had a message telling me that A38 north of Burton is currently closed. I’m not sure of cause or how long this might be for but might be relevant if you are travelling up early.

Save travels to the 900+. Superb support, in numbers at least, again. Hope everyone gets behind the team today, they need us more than ever and who knows today could be the turning point.

Few backed us for a result with Gillingham… Im expecting somthing very similar today. 3-0 Away win with an attempt by players and Sadler to build a relationship with the fans.

First goal will be celebrated with a cupped ear to the supporters,

Second Tommy Knowles will jump in the stand and get a booking with fans saying ā€˜ā€˜why dont you fing do that more’’

Third from either DJ or Matt who wont celebrate with the supporters but do somthing random that we all talk about all week. End of the game expect the whole playing and coaching staff to approach the away end and clap at us until we leave.

Post match Sadler will say how were trying to build somthing, proof being today. An interview with DD saying the supporters mean everything etc.

1100 fans in the away end but county will say its 400… Trevor Benjamin as a guest half time speaker for the 50/50 draw.

Good luck to the travelling faithful, as our results now apparently are directly correlated with how much we get behind the team there’s a lot of pressure on you guys today

Sly digs are beneath you, your Majesty

You make good points but why do you care about what other fans think? Your forthright and most of your predictions have come true, you told us so…

Why does it bother you that some supporters dont like being told they were wrong and that they still ā€˜blindly’ support this ā€˜failed regime’

We need fans like you, and we need fans like them and somewhere in the middle are the majority.

We are awful, shocking form, manager under pressure, can’t score for toffee, etc etc…

So therefore an incomprehensible 1-0 away win.

I live near the A38 and it is definitely closed.

On a more annoying note, I’ve just driven past Danny Johnson going for a jog (by Burton rugby club).

It’s possible that he can run with a dodgy shoulder and not play competitively; however, there looked nothing wrong with him to me.

Not gonna lie: I’m fuming about the way Sadler’s ego can’t accept that DJ is loved by the fans more than him… :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

Mansfield’s game has been postponed, I notice.

Where are people drinking before the game?
