W 2-1 vs Notts County (A) - League Two - Sat 9th Dec, 3pm

FGR and Sutton both off so a great chance to put some daylight between ourselves and the bottom 2.

There are currently 5 games postponed in League 2 (waterlogged pitches), at:-

Barrow, Bradford City, Forest Green Rovers, Mansfield Town and Sutton United.

Currently in the Industry. Not far from the ground and giving 10 percent off anyone with a ticket for the game.

Was it really him?

Surely he’s with the squad at Essington about to travel up (even if he hasn’t been named in the squad).

I thought he lived north of Nottingham aswell?

Pretty sure he lives quite close to Lichfield. I know that Pomlett’s family live close by too. I was surprised but I suppose ā€˜if he’s injured’ he might be given time with his baby.

Technically, if you’re jogging at 11:30 ish, you could still make a 3pm kick off.

The kid in me wanted to stop and tell him that the fans are annoyed with his treatment; however, given that I’m nearly 50, I’d probably look like some kind of Alan Partridge style stalker! :joy:

It is painful to see how badly the club has been mismanaged though. My lad used to go with me but he goes to Forest games now. This year, he has learnt the bitter taste of defeat but even he says, ā€œDad, Walsall have been useless since Rico Henry and Bradshaw left.ā€

I badly want the good times to return but a manager that tells the truth would be a good starting point…

Think today could be a turning point for Sadler’s reign should we lose badly and another poor performance on the pitch coupled with a vitriolic end to the game from the travelling supporters especially with BB in attendance

Looking at the trapdoor below us we can be over taken and end up in the 22nd spot ( albeit with a game in hand ) if other results go against us,

It only needs a Grimsby win ( or a draw ) and wins for Colchestor and Tranmere and below us will only be FGR ( with a game in hand ) Sutton United and the National League

As low key as it is, in overall footballing terms, it is going to be pivotal in our season.

In his last interview he said he had moved his family closer to Walsall in the summer. Its likely one of the reasons hes been so disappointed to receive such little game time. One poor performance and a training ground bust up and his whole future has been ruined… Its wrong.

Bet he wishes he was still at Mansfield, they treated him better.

I like Nigel Clough as a manager but that was never going to work because DJ needs to feel the love.

Flynn gave him that.

Sadler likes players who run.

Ironically, Byfield would probably put DJ in the first team 11 if he was caretaker. Byfield was not the hardest working player, but he’d walk into our current team.

Comley in, Hutch dropped, still no DJ (or Evans).

Lol dropping Hutch, it’s a brave move I’ll give him that. very defensive team. still positivity will prevail, really need a win today or the Tranmere game becomes a big one.

Pfft…fook that.

If there is any hope of any kind of reaction from these players for Sadler, then it will come today.

If we see nothing then I think the writing is on the wall. I think we will see an improvement, but I also think Notts will have too much for us

2-1

Can’t argue with dropping Hutch - he’s been poor the last few games. Where’s Ram though?

Why has he dropped Hutch?

Two loan players up front again. What has Tierney done to deserve a start?

Is Maher injured?

Defensive or what?

Certainly looks like a front foot attacking side
