I’m getting the impression there is some mild satisfaction in the air.
Personally, I am somewhat contented.
Just four league home defeats in the entire of 2023.
Never an easy place to go to is the Poundland Bescot Stadium

Wrexham commentators suggesting Knowles should have been red carded for handball.
Would have been harsh.
He came over to the family stand and had a few photos with the fans and was still on the pitch when most the others had headed to the dressing room.
Someone did ask if we would see him in a Walsall shirt again but he just smiled and clapped

What a cracking game of football and an even better performance by the team. Everyone of them deserved a MOTM award tonight. Also, praise for Sadler, as he go the set up of the side spot on and everyone seemed to know their role and what was expected. Earing in midfield.with Hutch was superb, and Comley probably had his best game tonight.
The bar has been set. This is what we should expect every Saturday.

Took my daughter’s on boxing day and they absolutely loved it and I thought we were excellent then.
Youngest (9) got the bug and convinced me to go along tonight. I’m so glad she did, another excellent performance but so good to do it in such a full ground against Wrexham. Was like old times at some points and made me proud to be a saddler for the first time in as long as I can remember.
Credit again due to Sadler who made tweaks and beat Parkinson’s changes.
Just a bit more consistency and this team could be right up there. Definitely earned another fan or two from my girls!

Quite simply sublime that. Up the fukin saddlers.
It was in the club shop for sale definitely as I saw it with my own eyes, but I didn’t see anyone buy one, just point and laugh and a couple were vomiting in the corner. Good story though.

Dont know if anyone else saw this tonight after the game, but DJ and Pomlett were having words. DJ was really angry and said he has had enough. Could be a transfer request being submitted by the looks of it.
Wrexham forums saying the same.

Best ive seen us play for a long time. Not perfect. But so committed to every challenge, 2nd ball. Fantastic game.

I already posted further up as to why Sadler brought on DJT instead of Johnson, quite correctly. I’d go as far as to suggest that if he’d brought Johnson on for Matt, wrexham could well have won.

Not a surprise I guess but sad to see / hear about.
I still think he could have a role in this team and just don’t get the big deal over getting him back in the summer if he really didn’t suit Sadler’s preferred style of play.
It has been quoted / said somewhere that Sadler has / had input on the signings along with Jordan so it surely wasn’t thrust on him to have him.
Well when DJT is above you in the pecking order you know it’s time to move on. A shame cos we need him if draper goes, whatever he is off the pitch, on it DJ scores goals

I’m sure I’m in some parallel universe or there’s been a switch to another dimension.
That wasn’t the side that played against Harrogate and FGR.
Hutchinson played better because he had an actual midfielder of real quality next to him (Earing). What a pairing they will be. Commers was also class in the holding role.
What a refreshing performance and the best we have played in the 5 years down in L2 I would say.
Also, not a piece of cowardice in sight tonight. Brave, creative and front foot. Well done Mat Sadler.
