Well they’re f***ing wrong one, shouldn’t be a pen from that proximity anyway, two, red would have contravened the double punishment rule. So talking absolute shite. Maybe they can cry about it on Disney plus.
Where did this happen ?
Knowles should have been sent off? Someone has lost their marbles. It was a very harsh penalty in my view and some referees would not have given it.
This team is starting to gel helped by the return of some real quality for this division in Farquaharson and Earing. This allows other players(Comley and Hutchinson in particular) to influence the game.
If these lads stay fit and we get another forward in to replace Draper I think we can have a good second half of the season.
Seeing as Sadler has earned the right to continue in his role, and fair play to him for that because he was under a lot of pressure before the Notts County win. I’d suggest DJ’s time at Walsall is coming to an end.
That’s fine, but with Draper most likely going back I hope we have some good plans for the transfer window. DJT may or may not have done the job you suggested, but as a striker he looks like he won a competition to get his contract. Harsh, maybe but fair in my opinion we wouldn’t want to be relying on him for goals or setting up anything.
Up to Trivela now to show what they are made of, if they are serious or not, cos this season is far from over for us if we really want it.
As regards Earing and his contract. I naively hope that he shows some loyalty to the club that has stuck by him through his long lay off
Absolutely, proper commitment is required now
You say that about DJT and yet he did the very important defensive work he was tasked to do superbly and then he was a key factor in the third goal with a lovely timed and weighted pass. Seems like a decent half’s contribution to me.
Great cause that was never a penalty of theres , that was a point blank shot close up ,So either way that evens it out ,Suppose it will be something to talk about in the re shitty documentary tho
Surely tonight has given them a good taste of what it could be like at bescot with a bit more investment and the investors will have loved getting one over on Wrexham.
Not surprised about the rumours re DJ.
Can’t see him wanting to stick around getting splinters. He’s probably on a heavily incentivised contract too.
If we are losing Draper in Jan, you (and presumably him) would think he’d be getting game time to build up some fitness, but he’s not getting a sniff.
Yeah, that’s good, and he will still be around to do a similar job in the future, but he isn’t going to do any damage up top (Unless he improves significantly), we will need better players than him if Draper is going back and DJ is a no go in Sadlers eyes. At least one quality striker needed, if not two. Or the season will just fade away.
Certainly won’t have done any harm with the NoFo guys in attendance. They probably think it’s like this every week
The start of the season ( or lack of pre season) killed him, i dont know whats gone on, but he was largely rubbish even when he got on the pitch early on(along with others to be fair)
Sadler aint fancying him though, DJT over him is still an insult. Just spunking cash at this point so expect the club to get rid as soon as.
What an enjoyable evening that was
Great performance from the lads tonight - and Sadler gets some real credit for the team selection and the set-up.
Really like the way DD can get forward as an additional midfielder with those penetrating runs, but was most pleased with the way the team nullified James McLean. He’s a quality player and should still be playing his trade 2 divisions higher, and he should be ripping teams apart in this division. He was almost completely penned in on the left, and he rarely got a chance to dictate play.
Well done all round
Didn’t see the game, sadly. Out with my sons. But we were all amazed by the result. Sounds like we played brilliantly.
Great way to end the year.
I hope Ryan Reynolds was watching.
Also, pleased for Sadler. Given the negative views on his tenure a few weeks ago, perhaps we are turning a corner.
Onwards and upwards.
I don’t disagree, i certainly don’t think DJT is ready to be our main striker! However, based on how we play and what Sadler wants his strikers to do, over 90 minutes, Johnson is even less so.
If Draper leaves and Matt is injured, we need 2 decent strikers in the window.
As for tonight , we had a superb win and every single player played a massive part in that, so how disappointing to see some (not necessarily yourself) coming on with negative comments about one of the young players involved in such a great performance.
Daniels was lost in a back 4, far more comfortable in a back 3. I’ve never been a fan of back 3 formations but you have to play to your strengths, especially your best players.
Even if we had lost tonight I was really entertained and that was a full-throttle performance, very enjoyable and we deserved the win.
Absolutely superb performance tonight. Thought Daniels was immense, and was my man of the match, however couldnt argue with anyone else’s choice. Need to strive to keep at this level. Well done
I said the same at 1-1…even if we’d gone on to lose, what a superb and exciting performance against players potentially way better in ability
