W 4-1 vs Gillingham (H) - League Two - Sat 14th Oct, 3pm

I’m not really bothered what he says pre- match in public interviews would like his after match comments to be a bit more honest and realistic. But I would hope he has more fire in his belly in the dressing room pre game and also half time .particularly after conceding 4 goals in the first half of a game should he be telling players we are better than this lot yes definitely .passion, fire ,motivation.as he got it .I don’t know.did Flynn have it probably yes .but the players under him definitely NO .

You need to go back to the threads during Whitney’s stint as manager, some of the moaning about him was beyond ridiculous.

Isn’t Gordon still off on international duty? Allen to replace him in your line up (with Williams backfilling), Oteh, or A. N. Other?

The effort you put in to blaming the fans for us being shit is genuinely commendable.

Can’t see anything but a comfortable 3-0 Saddlers victory .

Get the goals early , knock it about for a while , shut up shop .

In and out the shower , cigars lit by 6.30

Job done .

We seem so divided across the club, its a recipe for failure. Positive results need to unite the Players and Manager / Fans / The Executives, if that doesnt happen we are destined for failure.

Its not the fans fault, we’re doing our bit, attending and supporting the club. I see our expectations are so low so its not even the pressure from us thats the cause of this division.

We are not customers and the club is not a retailer we are a community, we need to unite and the first step towards that is a win tomorrow.

Thanks. I keep forgetting Gordon isn’t available.

At least theres one thing this game will show win lose or draw it will show if MS still has the dressing room. If he has they will put in a performance if not they will canter around like they did against sutton , if its the latter serious questions have got to be asked.

I personally think tomorrow is going to be a bad bad day gut feeling .

I still maintain that it will most likely be a Bradford away type result.

Then we will lose to Newport and Crawley.

Thus the cycle repeats.

Tomorrow…. Does however, I feel have the potential to be toxic if we go 1-0 down (again) early on. I just don’t think there’s any patience any more (and probably rightly so).

Not so sure you can use one game in this league as a defining, yes he has the players backing him, no he’s lost the dressing room … consistency is the reason we’re in this league.

Such a hard one to call, we’re losing games and getting absolutely hammered, or we’re losing by the finest of margins, and playing well :man_shrugging:

We don’t seem to be doing either at the moment though, so a run of results could change things so quickly.

MS wasn’t my pick for manager, but we have him { for now } so we have got to give him a little more time, as I’m sure Trivela will as they have other things going on now with another club, and hopefully he can turn this round and start changing his formation and playing players in the positions they were brought in to play and sort out any fallings out in the dressing room if rumours are to be believed, and get the we’re all in this together attitude that will hopefully spill out into the stadium and us supporters.

I gave MS full support tbh no i didnt want him but he got rhe job so therefore he gets my full backing. What i cant back though was the showing against sutton and ordinarily no you cant define a season in 1 match but to me on saturday it told a thousand words rightly or wrongly abother showing like that tomorrow and i dont think theres any coming bqck from it in many peoples eyes for MS

Graham not only a fan, but a lifelong fan.

I’ve had one face to face with him, and while I might disagree with him and how the club was run during his time on the board, he seemed a thoroughly nice guy, genuine fan and was very generous with his time.

I too feel that a toxic atmosphere might ensue should we go behind early once again, especially if Sadler picks his usual tombola style ‘team’ again and the rabble of misguided soles show little intent on putting in an attacking front foot approach.
We are at home, we should be winning home matches, not coming on to the pitch as if we have lost even before kick off!

Lets hope it’s front foot football

Tell you what I would like to see tomorrow a Walsall team that controls the game for the most part.retain our shape have the majority of possession ,limits the opponents to very few chances .and if we only create one scoring chance in 90 minutes we take it .will suit me just fine .win draw or lose if we do everything other than take the chance .I’ll be more than happy to come home and say we was robbed played really well .things looking up at last .

We are I’ve seen an argument on Facebook tonight between a few fans because someone posted a joke about Sadler and one fan took offence funnily enough said fan works for the club but still it shows a divide again.

We’ve got this - simple

Five nil within 37 minutes then sit back and let three in to keep everyone happy

Points to note for tomorrow

  1. Possession stats don’t matter - we actually won the possession game vs Sutton
  2. Whether DJ plays doesn’t matter or if he plays as a 10 doesn’t matter
  3. Knowles being blown over like a paper doll doesn’t matter

Walsall 5 v 3 Gillingham

Increased attendance due to the lose a friend for a fiver scheme will inspire us to a 2-0 win, DJ with a goal and tying his shoelace in front of Sadler as a celebration. UTS!

Unfortunately expecting a defeat today as we basically ain’t very good. Can’t be bothered going today as the joys of paying cash to watch Sadlers excuse for football compares unfavourably with watching one of the outstanding games of world cricket on TV.
