W 4-2 vs Tranmere Rovers (H) – Sat 20th Sept, 3.00pm (League Two)

I didn’t .I thought Clarke timed the pass perfectly.

I can kind of understand this point of view but there’s no point wallowing in misery. I quite like the fact we’ve owned what happened as much as it hurt, I just laugh now when I hear the songs of us crying on the tele or fluffed it up, no point singing it when you’re 4-2 down tranmere fans.

Fair opinion and Weir did score two beauties so it was difficult to argue with the official MOTM…

Na I was level with it he was level

I’d take us just hanging around the autos and playoffs for most of the season, before making a run in the last 10 games. That would be more preferable, than being top for so long then tailing off.

Hopefully Kanu will Steer us to many wins

The manager should learn from last season and hopefully he will but critically the club needs to learn from the January shambles.

If they do, we have got a great chance, despite bizarrely having so little of the ball. Cant really get my head around it and Im astonished clubs still play into our hands but I’ll take it.

I am concerned that players will run out of steam. Particularly in midfield and wing back positions. And the keeper is a bit flappy.

Very promising regardless and impressive given what happened towards the end of last season.

I just watched the video of the goals.
When Clarke played it he was level

He was shouting “who is supposed to be marking Turnbull?”

Not quite true since we haven’t played ourselves

Lakin was great and I thought we really missed him last week. Great result today but for Murphy in goal, we could have had a lot more.

Albert was not offside.

This was the best ref we have had this year. Consistent and happy to let the play go on, and I say that even when it cost us the equaliser.

Match had to be abandoned because neither side wanted possession.

We went for Weir as MoM for his 2 crucial goals, particularly the second when we could have gone in with Tranmere having the initiative, and a solid all round performance. If he hadn’t scored the second then it would have been a toss up between Flint and Lakin with Flint my choice for a commanding performance.

Still a great keeper

What I loved about Weirs goals is that both times I initially thought ‘we could score here’ (before the free kick for the first and as the ball was falling for the second)

but then I thought “nah, it will be wasted and spaffed wide or similar”

So when Weir did score both times I had a moment of disbelief that we’d actually scored.

Thank you Evan Weir for making my day.

Really enjoyed today. Thought Tranmere were decent and 4 - 2 flattered us slightly. However, we were ruthless which is good to see.

Uncle Albert (37) scoring against Joe Murphy (44). Combined age of 81. Surely that will not be beaten this season in the EFL!
