The effect of the new floodlights looks worse on tv/video footage than in reality but it is still quite patchy with some parts of the pitch looking darker than others.
Checked out some of the other L2 highlights on Sky website and we’re not the only club with this issue.

I think they are patchy in reality.
I dont’t understand why the touchlines are so dark when there are lights pointing directly down at them.
Sat in the OAP stand against Huddersfield the lights were blinding, shining into the stand. It must be awful for the players. I saw a few shielding their eyes last night.
I note that Scunthorpe removed the lights from their doppelganger ground, replacing them with tall single stem pylons in each corner.
As someone on here said a week or two back, Trotters Independent Trading must have been given the upgrade contract.
I agree and said that above but it looks even worse on telly.

They don’t appear to be an upgrade. Yesterday was my first night match since they were introduced and the centre circle and 6 yard boxes are well lit, then it just gets darker the more you move away from those areas.
Well they obviously must meet the relevant EFL minimum light requirement and therefore they are providing enough light overall. So is the issue not that there are dark patches but too well lit ones in some parts of the pitch?
After the first 20 minutes last night, I wished they’d turned the bloody lights off altogether…
Seriously , If the floodlights are no better than when we had them upgraded, and that was not too long ago I might add, and at alarming costs we’re led to believe , then surely someone needs holding to account, either the people that have passed them off, or the people that undertook the project in the first place.
When you’re actually at the ground I personally don’t think it looks all that different lighting wise, nor does it look as bad as when you watch the highligths back.
What if the person has left the club?
Very true Steve never gave that any consideration, that is if that person is no longer employed by the club that is …
