Apologies sent
spelling not my strong point pal
Misspent youth watching Walsall.
Misspent youth watching Coronation Street I think
Celtic are my 2nd team and that goes back to when I was a nipper all them years ago, mainly because of my family links, I’ve sat below the Walsall/rangers flag many times and doesn’t bother me one bit, in fact if I felt that strong about it I’d have taken a Walsall/celtic one and asked for it to be put up, I’ve brought badges from Issa but wouldn’t buy the one they produced as I have no love for rangers, it’s a choice just because I don’t want one doesn’t mean there’s hundreds of others that do.
I really don’t get the problem with it in fact in the 80s half and half hats where the norm at games, it wasn’t a problem then and I don’t see a problem with it now, I’ve drank in the railway with my Celtic shirt on, I’ve always got my Celtic badges on my coat and never once experienced a issue with it.
Fair enough if some Walsall fans also like watching Rangers matches but the semi-regular singing of sectarian songs (particularly at away matches) by people who don’t have a clue about the Troubles really irks me.
I’ll just put down to ignorance of history then. Thats what I concluded from 2020’s Poppy badges that featured the “No.Surrender” slogan.
You just really don"t know what it all means.
Put it down to what you want
Your constant need to stir the pot. Says a lot more about you than me.
I’ll take that as a compliment.
Your welcome
So, anyone for a bowl of strawberries?
For some reason, they don’t taste like they used to.
I blame Brexit.
Fading taste buds .bud diminish with age .
I just wish people would stop peeing on them
As i said when the badges were posted, its not just the rangers badge but the red hand of ulster. Its 100% sectarian influenced.
I have zero 2nd team, dont even really like watching England so id never buy anything with any other badge on it. So its defo not for me. But i think we’re hopefully in the last generation of all this shite and we can be done with it and move on.
With regards to ISSA, what they did in the pandemic was top notch, hence why im a member.
I only support 3 teams:-
Walsall
England
Whoever Wo**es am playing.
Badum tish.
I don’t care whichever other teams Saddlers fans may or may not follow, as long as they give our boys their full support. If WFC and the local community can benefit financially from these fans having split allegiances then so be it.
However, I do feel uncomfortable when occasionally our fans get involved in sectarian chanting, the history of which they may know little. Countless lives have been lost and families on both sides of the divide have been devastated as a result of these differences, and in this day and age it seems moronic to glorify and trivialise these issues that ought to be consigned to history.
Can i request a half and half pie; grey pays n bacon with faggots one one side and neeps tatties and haggis on the other.
Battered and deep fried would be even better.
I admire half and half scarfs . The opportunity to brag Walsall have played against bigger teams than themselves is pride.
Who else has beat Reynolds Wrexham ? Not many ! We did … remember that and cherish it
One of a few videos I’ve come across recently on social media praising the club. All of them also mention the data for this season which supports the positive reviews being given.
What a great time to be Saddler. Well done to Trivela, Sadler and the rest of the coaching team and squad for giving us our Walsall back
